Carbon Cost Calculathon

An online rolling calculathon activity, involving students, the University’s outreach to schools, and anyone else interested, to crowdsource a virtual map of the environmental costs of gaming. Running for a month, culminating in a crowdsourced virtual collage, aiming to illustrate something of gaming’s elusive carbon footprint, and to showcase Glasgow’s research-led input into Citizen Humanities/Citizen Science and environmental schools teaching.

Those participating may submit their entries via the online form. For further information, contact the Lab email: gaming-lab@glasgow.ac.uk.

The Carbon Cost Calculathon is aimed at those of any age, particularly school pupils, students, and a young adult audience (18-40) who are game fans and/or interested in environmental issues.
