For COP26 acclaimed artist John Gerrard will stage the World Premiere of a new simulation: Flare (Oceania) 2021. The installation, which takes the form of a 20ft x 20ft LED wall, will be sited at the South Façade of the historic main building of the University of Glasgow on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November.

Complementing this showing is this round table event in the Hunterian Art Gallery. Co-created by The Hunterian and Art of Change 21, it will bring together leading speakers to explore the role of art in raising awareness of the climate emergency.

Speakers : John Gerrard (artist), Uili Louisi (artist + activist), Valérie Masson Delmotte (paleoclimatologist, Co-chair of IPCC WG 1), Nathan Méténier (spokesperson for Youth and Environment Europe), Gilles Vermot Desroches (Senior Vice President, Corporate Citizenship, Schneider Electric).
