Glasgow & Manchester Climate Sisters – Local Women of the World at COP26

The Whiteinch Centre
1 Northinch Street
Glasgow
G14 0UG

Women from marginalised and diverse communities are often the first to be impacted by social injustices, and more often than not their voices are the last to be heard, and this is no different for climate change both here in the UK and globally. Through a series of workshops, a group of wonderfully inspiring women came together to produce creative exhibition pieces which reflect their opinion of a climate issue both here in the UK and globally. These women want their voices to be heard and want policy makers to know that climate change is a real issue which needs urgent action.

The exhibition pieces include poetry, music, podcasts, sculptures, paintings, jewellery, filmmaking, fashion, photography and performance. There will be a chance to walk around the exhibit pieces, talk to the artists followed by roundtable discussions, refreshments and performances.

This event has been organised by the Glasgow Climate Sisters and will be co-hosted with Climate Sisters from Manchester, Birmingham and London.
