For Freedom Space with Rivers: Sharing Event

James Arnott Theatre, University of Glasgow
University Avenue
G12 8QQ

Celebrating the artwork and collective insights that have emerged through ‘For Freedom Space with Rivers’ project.

Join us to celebrate the commissioned artwork and collective insights that have emerged through the For Freedom Space with Rivers project, a collaboration between the University of Glasgow, the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Interfaith Glasgow and a variety of independent artists across Glasgow. .

The project follows on from a series of creative conversations hosted by the University of Glasgow during COP26, as well as from a series of collective actions by interfaith, asylum seeker and other communities during the summit. It has evolved through a series of interconnecting community-based creative workshops and twelve individually commissioned artworks. The project is interested in adaptive freedom space for rivers thinking in the context of contemporary urban Glasgow. It has invited diverse artists to come together across multiple differences to explore this thnking creatively and personally. This celebratory event opens out these explorations and shares artworks that have been created.
