Collective Care: Renewing Perspectives on Museum Collections

Hunterian Museum
University of Glasgow
G12 8QQ

Part of Being Human Festival 2021

Come see The Hunterian’s collections and displays through new eyes at this interactive evening showcase. Inspired by the ongoing research of the Hunterian Associates, and the cultural legacy of COP26, this event will explore what it takes truly to care about collections and through them, our shared cultures, our communities, and our planet. Art installations, family trails, craft activities, and a COP26-themed tour of the museum displays will show how the work of museums and galleries can feed into a wider culture of care beyond institutional walls.

The evening will also feature music performances from composers from the University of Glasgow (Kevin Leomo) and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Aileen Sweeney and Ellie Cherry), inspired by environmental themes.
